We Have a Technical #10: It's Still Recording
Our last podcast of the year is also our last post of the year! Having caught our breath after bashing out our year-end writing, we sat down to do a quick review of our favourite records, speak about some general musical trends we noticed in 2013, and ended up going on an impassioned rant about generational attachments to specific musical eras. Thanks so much for checking out the podcast (and hopefully the rest of the site); it’s a new(ish) aspect of the site which we really enjoy doing, and we can’t wait to bring you more of We Have a Technical and I Die: You Die to you in 2014. Stream from the widget below, subscribe and rate via iTunes or download directly if that’s your pleasure. Stay warm, and have a great break!

13:13: It’s actually from Purcell and Tate’s Dido and Aeneas.
17:35: Bruce is forgetting Plague‘s 1987 release for its 1991 appearance as bonus material on that year’s Time. The latter album is, in fact, the last of Ivens and Verhaegen’s original partnership.
23:56: Bruce meant “self-titled LP“. Oops.
24:34 Mr.Kitty has a 7″ single Indiegogo campaign going. Check that out!

43:10: Read Drew Daniels’ book about Throbbing Gristle’s 20 Jazz Funk Greats, fool.
46:35: Hank gonna Hank.
49:22: We wrote a lengthy editorial on this phenomenon a while back.
