We Have a Technical 110: A Noble Endeavour
It’s our birthday! Well, the website’s at least. Ye olde idieyoudie.com turns five years old this week, and so we’re getting a bit reflective. How has post-industrial music changed in the past five years? How have our attitudes towards writing about it evolved? What bands and labels are inseparable from our experiences with the site? All this and so much more indulgent reverie on this week’s anniversary episode of We Have A Technical. You can rate and subscribe on iTunes, Google Play Music and Stitcher, download directly, or stream from the widget down below!
Happy Anniversary! The tradition gift for five years is wood.
Huh, huh. “Wood”.
Sitting in my room at 16, listening to Beelzebubba end to end over and over I don’t know that I ever could have imagined this moment.
Thanks for your love and support Rodney!
Hi Five for 5 years! Here’s to 5 more years.
Thanks for your support Marc!
thinking about how much the scene has changed since your launch is frighting. clicking play and preparing for all the feels…
Man shit is so different. In some ways way cooler and more diverse.
Congrats lads, here’s to another five years!
Thanks a ton, Paulo!
Happy anniversary! I can’t begin to explain how much your site has helped me find great music, old and new. As someone who stumbled across VNV around 2009 and has been digging deeper into goth/industrial/our thing (your thing and my thing line up quite well for the most part) ever since, your insightful and articulate discussion has been critical in helping me stick with a scene that’s dragging so much bullshit along with it on so many other parts of the internet. Here’s to you, you glorious nerds, and another five years of longwinded brilliance. PEACE!
Thanks, Valek! Always appreciate hearing your take on whatever we’re writing about. 🙂
