We Have a Technical 59: Steve Ouroboros
On this episode of the official I Die: You Die podcast, Bruce and Alex quiz each other on their predilections for albums by Pretentious, Moi? and Ghost & Writer. Also, Alex has a lot of thoughts and feelings about the announcement of a new New Order record, Bruce reads Japanese science fiction, and we announce the winner of our “Death to False EBM” t-shirt contest! All this week on the internet’s pre-eminent goth and industrial music podcast (more the former than the latter for once).

Thanks for the T-shirt and the great words guys! Much appreciated!
I love the ideas re: Frank and academia. I hate to crush dreams, but having been in the room with Dr. Frank and Dr. Ned, I can say that the conversation was too drunken to repeat.
As far as Ghost & Writer goes, I think (although I would need to ask Frank to confirm) that the inspiration of From Hell came from an ongoing vignette in the graphic novel Stray Toasters by Bill Sienkiewicz.
In the comic, the devil is writing postcards home about the status of his working vacation.

I only vaguely recall talking about this between shots in Sweden, so I could be wrong.
Holy shit. I’ve read Stray Toasters and I never in a million years would have made that connection. Nuts.
